Yaow-Ming Chen (陳耀銘) received the B.S. degree from National Cheng-Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO, USA, in 1989, 1993, and 1997, respectively, all in electrical engineering.
From 1997 to 2000, Dr. Chen was with I-Shou University, Taiwan, as an Assistant Professor. From 2000 to 2008, he was with National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. In 2008 he joined National Taiwan University where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. In 2011, Dr. Chen was a Visiting Scholar with University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA. Dr. Chen has served as Associate Editors for many IEEE Journals, including IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics. His research interests include power electronic converters, renewable energy, and grid-tied inverter development.
